The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Stevenson Pirates (Pebble Beach, CA) and the visiting Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA), saw Stevenson's softball squad nip Aptos by a count of 8-2.

The Pirates now sport a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host King City for a PCAL - Mission match on Monday, May 1. Stevenson will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Aptos falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Mariners host Soquel (Soquel, CA) to face the Knights in a Santa Cruz Coast match on Tuesday, May 2. The Knights enter the match with a record of 1-3. Soquel lost 15-12 in their recent league match against Harbor (Santa Cruz, CA)
