Manchester Panthers (Akron, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Barberton Magics (Barberton, OH), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Tuslaw for a Principals Athletic challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Manchester will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Barberton falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Magics travel to Tallmadge (Tallmadge, OH) to battle the Blue Devils in a Suburban - American challenge on Wednesday, May 3. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 11-7.
