Barrington Fillies/Broncos (Barrington, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL), 19-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Fillies/Broncos now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rolling Meadows for a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Monday, May 1. Barrington will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Lakes falls to 4-16 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL) to battle the Knights in a Northern Lake County challenge on Monday, May 1. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 3-14. Grayslake North lost 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Warren Township (Gurnee, IL)
