Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs (Carroll, OH), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Johnnies now own a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they host Heath for a Licking County challenge on Monday, May 1. Johnstown-Monroe will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Pickerington Central (Pickerington, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, Bloom-Carroll falls to 5-15 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Logan Elm (Circleville, OH) to battle the Braves in a Mid-State - Buckeye challenge on Monday, May 1. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Logan Elm lost 15-14 in their recent league challenge against Hamilton Township (Columbus, OH)
