Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bristol Panthers (Bristolville, OH), 15-14 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wickliffe for a Chagrin Valley - Valley challenge on Monday, May 1. Kirtland will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 21-11 non-league win over Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 12-2.

With the loss, Bristol falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Windham (Windham, OH) to battle the Bombers in a Northeastern Athletic challenge on Monday, May 1. The Bombers enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Windham lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Badger (Kinsman, OH)
