In Saturday's non-league contest, the Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN) softball team held off the host Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, Crown Point moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Bulldogs host Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to play the Trojans in a Duneland contest on Tuesday, May 2. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 4-11. Chesterton lost 17-1 in their recent league contest against Lake Central (St. John, IN)

In their next game, the Lancers play the Edwardsburg Eddies (Edwardsburg, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 29. Lakeshore will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Eddies come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Penn (Mishawaka, IN).
