In Saturday's non-league contest, the Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) softball team overwhelmed the host DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), by a margin of 18-8.

With the triumph, Kaneland moves its record to 7-11 on the year. The Knights host Plano (Plano, IL) to play the Reapers in a Interstate Eight contest on Monday, May 1. The Reapers come into the contest with a record of 4-14. Plano lost 16-0 in their recent non-league contest against Serena (Serena, IL)

In their next game, the Barbs play the Naperville North Huskies (Naperville, IL) in a DuPage Valley contest, on Monday, May 1. DeKalb will attempt to move on its 4-12 season record. The Huskies come into the contest with a 13-4 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Batavia (Batavia, IL).
