In Saturday's non-league contest, the Edwardsville Tigers (Edwardsville, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), by a margin of 8-1.

With the triumph, Edwardsville moves its record to 20-4 on the year. The Tigers host Belleville West (Belleville, IL) to play the Maroons in a Southwestern contest on Tuesday, May 2. The Maroons come into the contest with a record of 9-12. Belleville West won 8-7 in their recent non-league contest against Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL)

In their next game, the Maroons play the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 29. Moline will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 13-9 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Lemont (Lemont, IL).
