Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers (Wheaton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Glenbard South Raiders (Glen Ellyn, IL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host St. Charles North for a DuKane challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Wheaton-Warrenville South will battle a North Stars squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Batavia (Batavia, IL). The North Stars record now stands at 13-1.

With the loss, Glenbard South falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Raiders host West Chicago (West Chicago, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a Upstate Eight challenge on Monday, May 1. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. West Chicago won 20-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Geneva (Geneva, IL)
