The Madison Southern Eagles softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Russell Red Devils to 9 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Madison Southern improves its record to 13-15 on the year. The Eagles host Somerset (Somerset, KY) to clash with the Briar Jumpers in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 2. The Briar Jumpers come into the game with a record of 13-6. Somerset won 10-0 in their recent non-league game against South Laurel (London, KY)

In their next game, the Red Devils clash with the Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) in a District 63 game, on Monday, May 1. Russell will attempt to improve on its 9-17 season record. The Musketeers come into the game with a 11-9 record after their 16-11 league win over Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY).
