The Monmouth Academy Mustangs softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Mountain Valley Falcons to 6 in the Mustangs league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Monmouth Academy moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME) to clash with the Seahawks in a Class C South game on Monday, May 1. The Seahawks come into the game with a record of 0-4. Boothbay lost 21-1 in their recent non-league game against Buckfield (Buckfield, ME)

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) in a Class C South game, on Monday, May 1. Mountain Valley will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Ramblers come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 16-1 league win over Carrabec (North Anson, ME).
