Illinois High School Softball - South Knox can't hold off Mt. Carmel

The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting South Knox Spartans to 2 in the Golden Aces non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Mt. Carmel moves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Golden Aces host Richland County (Olney, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a Little Illini game on Monday, May 1. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 10-8. Richland County won 9-7 in their recent league game against Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL)
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 4. South Knox will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record.
