The Newman Central Catholic Comets softball team (Sterling, IL), was routed 10-0 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL)
Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL) in a non-league test, on Monday, May 1. Sherrard will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Panthers enter the test with a 12-7 record after their 9-4 league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL).
The Comets (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Tigers enter the Three Rivers East test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Princeton was routed by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 5-4, in a non-league test.
