Tri-County Cavaliers (Wolcott, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tri-Township Tigers (LaCrosse, IN), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Carroll for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. Tri-County will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to West Lafayette (West Lafayette, IN). The Cougars record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Tri-Township falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN) to battle the Cherokees in a Porter County challenge on Monday, May 1. The Cherokees enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Morgan Township lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Hebron (Hebron, IN)
