Indiana High School Baseball - Austin nips Southwestern

April 29, 2024: Austin, IN 47102

Austin Eagles (Austin, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Southwestern Rebels (Hanover, IN), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Austin upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Henryville (Henryville, IN) to battle the Hornets in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 30. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 2-10. Henryville won 14-4 in their recent league test against Crothersville (Crothersville, IN)

With the defeat, Southwestern falls to 11-6 on the season. The Rebels host Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN) to battle the Shiners in a Ohio River Valley test on Wednesday, May 1. The Shiners come into the test with a record of 1-11. Rising Sun lost 8-2 in their recent league test against Jac-Cen-Del (Osgood, IN)
