Gainesville Cardinals (Gainesville, VA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Hylton Bulldogs (Woodbridge, VA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals confront the Freedom Eagles (South Riding, VA) in a Cedar Run challenge, on Tuesday, April 30. Gainesville will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.

The Bulldogs now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Woodbridge for a Cardinal challenge on Thursday, May 2. Hylton will confront a Vikings team coming off a 8-0 league win over Potomac Senior (Dumfries, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 7-4.
