The Bishop Kearney Kings softball squad scored 3 runs and restricted the host Avon Braves to 0 in the Kings non-league victory on Monday.
The Kings (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Attica (Attica, NY). The Blue Devils go into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Attica nudged Alden (Alden, NY), 12-4, in a non-league battle.
The Braves now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Warsaw for a Livingston County Division 2 battle on Thursday, May 2. Avon will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Hornell (Hornell, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 6-4.
