The Brookfield Bobcats softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Newtown Nighthawks to 1 in the Bobcats league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Brookfield moves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Stratford (Stratford, CT) to clash with the Red Devils in a Southwest - Colonial game on Tuesday, April 30. The Red Devils come into the game with a record of 7-4. Stratford lost 17-1 in their recent league game against Pomperaug (Southbury, CT)

In their next game, the Nighthawks clash with the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 1. Newtown will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record. The Green Wave come into the game with a 9-5 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT).
