The crowd at Monday's league match between the Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY) and the visiting Maple Hill Wildcats (Castleton on Hudson, NY), saw Coxsackie-Athens's softball squad nip Maple Hill by a count of 12-5.

The Riverhawks now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Watervliet for a Section 2 Patroon match on Wednesday, May 1. Coxsackie-Athens will face a Cannoneers squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Rensselaer (Rensselaer, NY). The Cannoneers record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Maple Hill falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Albany (Albany, NY) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 30. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 3-11. Albany lost 8-0 in their recent league match against Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY)
