Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting The Pingry School Big Blue (Martinsville, NJ), 13-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Metuchen for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. Cranford will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Old Bridge (Old Bridge, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, The Pingry School falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Big blue host Peddie (Hightstown, NJ) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-9. Peddie lost 14-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Hill School (Pottstown, PA)
