Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oakwood for a Vermilion Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Milford will battle a Comets squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Armstrong (Armstrong, IL). The Comets record now stands at 7-16.

With the loss, Iroquois West falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to St. Anne (St. Anne, IL) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 0-15. St. Anne lost 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL)
