New Philadelphia Quakers (New Philadelphia, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Quakers now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lexington for a Ohio Cardinal challenge on Tuesday, April 30. New Philadelphia will face a Minutemen squad coming off a 11-5 non-league win over River Valley (Caledonia, OH). The Minutemen record now stands at 20-0.

With the loss, Minerva falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Alliance (Alliance, OH) to face the Aviators in a Eastern Buckeye challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Aviators enter the challenge with a record of 6-13. Alliance lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against West Branch (Beloit, OH)
