Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Stratford Red Devils (Stratford, CT), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Masuk for a Southwest - Colonial challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Pomperaug will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Joel Barlow (Redding, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 12-0.

With the loss, Stratford falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Red devils host Brookfield (Brookfield, CT) to battle the Bobcats in a Southwest - Colonial challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Brookfield won 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Newtown (Newtown, CT)
