Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they host Titusville for a District 10 Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Sharon will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 14-3 league loss to Hickory (Hermitage, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, West Middlesex falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Big reds travel to Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA) to battle the Greyhounds in a District 10 Region 1 challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Wilmington lost 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Mercer (Mercer, PA)
