Rhode Island High School Baseball - North Providence wallops Central

In Tuesday's non-league game, the host North Providence Cougars baseball team scored a nice 13-3 win over the Central Knights.

The Cougars (9-1) will now prepare for their game against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Chargers go into the Division 2 game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Chariho knocked off Narragansett (Narragansett, RI), 6-3, in a league game.

Next, the Knights play the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 2 game, on Thursday, May 1. Central will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Chieftains go into the game with a 6-8 record after their 8-0 league loss to Burrillville (Harrisville, RI).
