In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Morton Potters baseball team scored a close 4-0 win over the Lincoln Railsplitters.
The Potters (16-6) will now prepare for their game against Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Rockets go into the Mid-Illini game with a 13-10 record. In their last game, Limestone nudged Morton (Morton, IL), 3-2, in a league game.
Next, the Railsplitters play the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 2. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Redbirds go into the game with a 7-13 record after their 4-3 league win over Pekin (Pekin, IL).
