Michigan High School Baseball - Maple Valley defeats Reading

The Maple Valley Lions baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Reading Rangers to 4 in the Lions non-league win on Tuesday.

The Lions now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hudsonville for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. Maple Valley will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 5-1 league win over Rockford (Rockford, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 11-2.

With the defeat, Reading drops to 2-4 on the year. The Rangers host Stockbridge (Stockbridge, MI) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 2-6. Stockbridge won 7-5 in their recent non-league test against Concord (Concord, MI)
