Virginia High School Baseball - Freeman edges Mechanicsville

The Freeman Mavericks baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Mechanicsville Mustangs to 4 in the Mavericks non-league win on Tuesday.

The Mavericks now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Godwin for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. Freeman will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 16-2 non-league win over Benedictine (Richmond, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.

With the defeat, Mechanicsville drops to 9-5 on the year. The Mustangs host Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 5-4. Hanover won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Midlothian (Midlothian, VA)
