The Hastings Saxons baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Harper Creek Beavers to 2 in the Saxons non-league win on Tuesday.

The Saxons now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6.

With the defeat, Harper Creek drops to 1-3 on the year. The Beavers host Marshall (Marshall, MI) to clash with the Redhawks in a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. The Redhawks go into the test with a record of 2-1. Marshall won 5-3 in their recent non-league test against Pennfield (Battle Creek, MI)
