The Mountain View Spartans softball team scored 14 runs and held the host Palo Alto Vikings to 4 in the Spartans non-league win on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cupertino for a battle on Friday, May 2. Mountain View will encounter a Pioneers team coming off a 19-8 league loss to Milpitas (Milpitas, CA). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Palo Alto moves to 8-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 12-2. Los Gatos won 17-0 in their recent league battle against Los Altos (Los Altos, CA)
