The Ponaganset Chieftains softball squad (North Scituate, RI), was routed 12-1 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the host Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI)

With the triumph, Pilgrim improves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Patriots travel to Coventry (Coventry, RI) to face the Oakers in a non-league contest on Friday, May 2. The Oakers enter the contest with a record of 1-0.

The Chieftains now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cranston West for a non-league contest on Monday, May 5. Ponaganset will face a Falcons squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Falcons record now stands at 7-1.
