Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) and the visiting Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), saw George Wythe's soccer squad triumph over Holston by a count of 7-0.
The Maroons (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers enter the Mountain Empire battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Fort Chiswell Giles (Pearisburg, VA), 2-2, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cavaliers battle the Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) in a Hogoheegee battle, on Thursday, May 1. Holston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Rebels enter the battle with a 2-8 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Narrows (Narrows, VA).
