The Catoctin Cougars softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Liberty Lions to 9 in the Cougars non-league win on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brunswick for a CMC battle on Wednesday, April 30. Catoctin will confront a Railroaders team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD). The Railroaders record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Liberty moves to 1-7 on the season. The Lions host Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD) to confront the Eagles in a Monocacy Valley - Chesapeake battle on Saturday, May 3. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 6-5. Francis Scott Key lost 14-8 in their recent league battle against Westminster (Westminster, MD)
