The Maranatha Christian Academy Mustangs softball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers to 3 in the Mustangs non-league win on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Park Center for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 30. Maranatha Christian Academy will confront a Pirates team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, MN). The Pirates record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted moves to 4-6 on the season. The Lakers host Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN) to confront the Royals in a Wright County battle on Thursday, May 1. The Royals come into the battle with a record of 0-8. Watertown-Mayer lost 23-0 in their recent league battle against Rockford (Rockford, MN)
