The Staples-Motley Cardinals triumphed over the visiting Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder softball squad by a count of 15-5 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals play the Breckenridge Cowboys (Breckenridge, MN) in a Heart of Lakes Conference challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Staples-Motley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.

The Thunder (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record.
