Next, the Bulldogs meet the Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record. The Borderites go into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 5-4 league loss to Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA).

The Lions (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Anacortes (Anacortes, WA). The Seahawks go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Anacortes held off Ferndale (Ferndale, WA), 12-9, in a league challenge.
