The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) and the host Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL), observed Olympia's softball team notch a victory over Maroa-Forsyth by a tally of 8-0.

The Spartans (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL). The Bluejays go into the Sangamo bout with a 7-9 record. In their last bout, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central gained a win over Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL), 8-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) in a Sangamo bout, on Thursday, May 1. Maroa-Forsyth will attempt to advance on its 9-7 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 16-1 league win over Riverton (Riverton, IL).
