The Metropolitan softball team scored 23 runs and held the visiting Van Buren Vee Bees to 1 in the non-league win on Tuesday.

The now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edison for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. Metropolitan will confront a team coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Campus Magnet (Cambria Heights, NY). The record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Van Buren moves to 2-8 on the season. The Vee bees host Far Rockaway (Far Rockaway, NY) to confront the Seahorses in a non-league battle on Friday, May 2. The Seahorses come into the battle with a record of 0-9. Far Rockaway lost 16-4 in their recent league battle against Queens Teaching (Bellerose, NY)
