The West Essex Knights softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Montclair Mounties to 0 in the Knights non-league win on Tuesday.

The Knights now possess a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rutherford for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 30. West Essex will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-0 league win over Harrison (Harrison, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Montclair moves to 10-4 on the season. The Mounties host Clifton (Clifton, NJ) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. The Mustangs come into the battle with a record of 7-7. Clifton won 22-3 in their recent league battle against Eastside (Paterson, NJ)
