In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Stuart Hornets baseball team scored a tight 7-3 victory over the Hartshorne Miners.
The Hornets (7-6) will now prepare for their game against Crowder (Crowder, OK). The Demons go into the Pittsburg Eight game with a 10-2 record. In their last game, Crowder tipped Weleetka (Weleetka, OK), 11-2, in a non-league game.
The Miners (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Ripley (Ripley, OK). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 16-4 record. In their last game, Ripley was overwhelmed by Dale (Dale, OK), 11-1, in a non-league game.
