The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Port Jefferson Royals (Port Jefferson, NY) and the host Southampton Mariners (Southampton, NY), saw Port Jefferson's lacrosse team achieve victory over Southampton by a margin of 9-5.

The Royals (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against East Islip (Islip Terrace, NY). The Redmen enter the Section 11 II challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, East Islip was overwhelmed by Miller Place (Miller Place, NY), 7-1, in a league challenge.

The Mariners (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Kings Park (Kings Park, NY). The Kingsmen enter the Section 11 II challenge with a 0-0 record.
