The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Chaparral Roadrunners (Anthony, KS) and the visiting Skyline Thunderbirds (Pratt, KS), saw Chaparral's softball squad nip Skyline by a count of 8-5.

The Roadrunners now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheney for a non-league match on Thursday, April 6. Chaparral will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Council Grove (Council Grove, KS). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Skyline falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Bucklin (Bucklin, KS) to clash with the Red Aces in a non-league test on Monday, April 10. The Red Aces come into the test with a record of 5-1. Bucklin won 17-13 in their recent non-league test against Larned (Larned, KS)
