Christiana Vikings (Newark, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Mount Pleasant Green Knights (Wilmington, DE), 11-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Red Lion Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7.
With the loss, Mount Pleasant falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Green knights host Middletown (Middletown, RI) to face the Islanders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Islanders enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Middletown lost 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Johnston (Johnston, RI)
