Edwards County Lions (Albion, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Grayville Bison (Grayville, IL), 18-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Flora for a Black Diamond East challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Edwards County will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 16-3 non-league win over Dieterich (Dieterich, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Grayville falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bison host Odin/Patoka/Sandoval (Sandoval, IL) to battle the Eagles in a Midland Trail challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Odin/Patoka/Sandoval lost 10-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL)
