Garden Grove Argonauts (Garden Grove, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South Pasadena Tigers (South Pasadena, CA), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Argonauts now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Westminster for a Golden West challenge on Wednesday, April 5. Garden Grove will battle a Lions squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA). The Lions record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, South Pasadena falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to San Marino (San Marino, CA) to battle the Titans in a Rio Hondo challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. San Marino lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Burroughs (Burbank, CA)
