The Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) softball routed the host Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL), 15-0 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Indians (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL). The Tornadoes enter the Black Diamond West challenge with a 8-0 record. In their last challenge, Zeigler-Royalton defeated Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL), 8-1, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Steeleville falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL) to face the Pirates in a Cahokia - Kaskaskia challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Valmeyer won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Marissa (Marissa, IL)
