Kutztown Cougars (Kutztown, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes (Schuylkill Haven, PA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Antietam for a Berks County 3 challenge on Wednesday, April 5.

With the loss, Schuylkill Haven falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Minersville (Minersville, PA) to battle the Battlin' Miners in a Schuylkill II challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Battlin' Miners enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Minersville lost 16-8 in their recent non-league challenge against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA)
