Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mamou Demons (Mamou, LA), 8-4 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 20-6 record. They take the field next when they host Port Barre for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4.
With the loss, Mamou falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Northwest (Opelousas, LA) to face the Raiders in a 3A District 4 challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
