The Pope John Paul II Jaguars baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Independence Tigers to 1 in the Jaguars league victory on Wednesday.
The Jaguars (18-7) will now prepare for their match against Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA). The Lumberjacks go into the non-league match with a 12-5 record. In their last match, Bogalusa gained a win over Amite (Amite, LA), 1-0, in a league match.
The Tigers (10-8) will now prepare for their match against Springfield (Springfield, LA). The Bulldogs go into the 2A District 7 match with a 8-15 record. In their last match, Springfield was overwhelmed by St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA), 12-0, in a league match.
