Orosi Cardinals (Orosi, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), 24-20 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Woodlake for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. Orosi will face a Tigers squad coming off a 17-12 non-league win over Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Strathmore falls to 0-2 on the campaign.
